Dugdill is a British heritage design company that produces handcrafted lighting.
John Dugdill designed the iconic Dugdill lamp at the dawn of the XX century. In the 1910s, John Dugdill patented one of Britain’s first electric light fittings, which he used to develop the Dugdill lamp.
During World War I, Dugdill supplied lamps to the Royal Navy. In the 1920s, John Dugdill introduced lamps for homes, combining function, durability, and beauty. During World War II, Dugdill lamps lit the Whitehall war rooms, including Churchill’s desk in the map room.
Designed for use in factories, on the high seas, homes, offices, and artist studios, Dugdill lamps combine functionality, history, impeccable craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal that has lasted over a century. The historic Dugdill lamp was revived in 2024.
